    About the Role The Accounts Payable Support Officer provides quality support to the Accounts Payable (AP) function and ensures that the Department's Financial Delegation and financial governance policies and processes are adhered to.

    This role is responsible for reviewing and checking claims for payment to ensure that they met required criteria for payment.

    The Accounts Payable Support Officer assists with continuous improvement initiatives including the documentation of processes.

    • Accurately process claims for payment after checking for relevant controls and information including correct authorisations
    • Under broad supervision, process accounts payable invoices, consolidated accounts, payment requests and claim forms in accordance with policies and procedures and within agreed service levels.
    • Accurately review claims to ensure the correct GST code has been applied and that FBT has been identified if relevant.

    • Demonstrated capacity to communicate with Key internal and external stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to prepare and distribute relevant professional/technical information.
    Qualifications AND Experience

    • Relevant tertiary qualification or relevant experience to meet the role capabilities.
