    About the Company
    Our client is searching for a Finance Manager to join their growing retail business This business has been established for approximately ten years and has enjoyed some fantastic success during this time. After a long period of stability, there is now the opportunity to join this close-knit team on a permanent basis.
    Reporting to the CEO, you will manage the finance function and play a key part in ensuring the business continues to grow and evolve.

    About the Role
    The Finance Manager is a highly visible and crucial position in the business and the most senior position in the finance team. In this role, you will actively contribute to the business's growth and profitability and act as the key finance and commercial adviser to the management team and CEO. You'll manage a small offshore team and ensure the finance function operates to a high standard.

    This is a superb opportunity to improve processes and drive efficiencies whilst playing a significant contribution to the the growth.

    Duties

    • Reporting and analysis of business performance and provide input on opportunities and improvements.
    • Oversee preparation of budgets and forecasts (quarterly or as required)
    • Oversee the month-end process to ensure the timeframe are met
    • Liaising with external tax accountants for tax compliance
    • Preparing quarterly BAS and lodgements
    • Provide information to support the compilation of statutory accounts
    • Review bank reconciliations and ensure assurance processes are operating effectively
    • Manage payroll to ensure accurate and timely payment as contracted
    • Ensure good internal controls are maintained for accounts payable functions
    • Production of regular management reporting on the results
    • Manage one offshore team member
    About You
    We are searching for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced business and sector; you will be comfortable working in a privately owned business where you regularly interact with the executive leadership team. You will (most likely) have started your career in public practice with experience gained from industry.
    You will enjoy being part of a small, ambitious team whilst wearing multiple hats and see the value in being present in the office three days a week, where you will build and foster meaningful relationships. CPA/CA qualified, you have exceptional soft skills with the ability to tell the story behind the numbers.
