- Act as the conduit between the Service Manager, and workshop based Technicians to ensure consistent and effective communication
- Ensure all workshop based technicians have the resources and relevant knowledge to perform allocated jobs
- Provide daily feedback to Service Manager regarding:
- Job status
- Customer feedback
- Diagnostic learning requirements
- Technician concerns
- Resource requirements
- Act as a mentor and an escalation point to all workshop based staff
- Contribute to Toolbox meeting discussions in order to set direction and provide feedback
- Perform service, repairs and maintenance of all machinery and equipment (both in the workshop and on client farms)
- Diagnose and interpret machine faults to get our customers back up and running
- Manage and maintain service records for machinery
- Providing technical advice and support to customers and other service technicians
- Ad hoc duties as required: facilitate the assignment of jobs, arrange pre-delivery of new workshop equipment, participate in re-conditioning of used equipment,
- 3+ years experience as a qualified Service Technician
- Qualifications in HV Diesel Mechanics or similar
- Ability to lead, train and coach others and write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
- Familiar with John Deere and competitive products. Fork lift licence preferred (we can help you obtain this)
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and Internet
