- Full Time, Ongoing Role based in Preston
- Coordinate the daily operations of ICT programs
- Plan, develop, deliver and assess as a teacher of Information Technology and Cyber Security within the Business, Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics department.
- Develop, maintain and evaluate student learning programs, projects and associated materials.
- Establish and maintain a learning environment that empowers and encourages students to take personal responsibility, and is encouraging of them.
- Develop teaching resources and assessments that meet curriculum and contract requirements.
- Assist in securing and managing any work placement or vocational experience component connected to program delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and assessment.
- Participate in classes and programs.
- Provide pre-course advice to students and participate in the student selection, enrolment and induction processes.
- Support other teachers and team members in the program by cooperative teaching, creating excursions, planning incursions or supporting learns to learning from group projects.
- Use diverse and appropriate adult teaching methodologies.
- A Degree, Diploma or Certificate relevant in both content and academic level and industry experience relevant to Information Technology including Cyber Security.
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE including Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502) and Address Adult language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills (TAELLN411) or (TAELLN401A)
- Completion or willing to work towards a course of teacher training accredited at diploma which includes supervised teaching practice in an adult learning environment and studies in adult teaching methodology (Australian Qualification Framework Level 6).
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Information Technology and/or Cyber Security.
- Vocational experience and current competence within the Information Technology and/or Cyber Security industry.
- Demonstrated ability to teach Information Technology and Cyber Security programs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to effectively resolve issues surrounding administrative systems and staff rosters.

About the Role:
The Lead Teacher - Information Technology coordinates the daily operations for the programs to ensure that classes run efficiently and compliance requirements are met.
Additionally, the role provides coordination, training and facilitation across a range of programs and qualifications and related areas. Further, the role contributes to the planning, development and review of programs offered by the area.
