    What You Will Be Doing

    Our hospitals and Emergency Departments are located at Frankston and Rosebud and we provide a wide range of community health, dental, rehabilitation, mental health, palliative care and aged care services from campuses at Frankston, Hastings, Mornington, Mount Eliza and Rosebud.


    The available position is for 1 day a week, limited term part time.

    The position is available for either a Grade 2 scientist or an experienced Grade 1 scientist to work in the Lung Function Laboratory at Frankston Hospital (although occasionally some work at Rosebud Hospital may be required).

    There is the possibility of additional casual days depending on the demand. The successful applicant must have a Science Degree. Previous experience in a Lung Function Laboratory is essential.

    The Department of Thoracic Medicine is a multidisciplinary setting and you would be liasing with other scientists, doctors and other healthcare professionals.

    The fully accredited Laboratory incorporates two Lung Function Laboratories at Frankston and a satellite Laboratory at Rosebud Hospital.

    Our Lung Function Laboratories provide both routine and specialised lung function testing, such as cardiopulmonary exercise testing, plethymography, altitude testing and oxygen assessments.

    Opportunities for further development and education are available. Comprehensive training will be provided to the successful applicant.
