    Munich Re is the leading reinsurer in the Australasian Non-Life market and offers both treaty and facultative reinsurance support for all the main classes of business including Property, Engineering Liability, Motor and Marine.

    Reporting to the Facultative Manager, you will join the Facultative underwriting team which specialises in the underwriting of complex risks for our local reinsurance clients. We provide additional technical support complementing our client management and treaty projects. The team works within both the Sydney Non-Life Team and also the global F&C community.

    Your Role

    • Apply underwriting expertise in the assessment, pricing and acquisition of client accounts
    • Assess and review Risk reports as to their adequacy for underwriting purposes
    • Support Facility business and Automated Fac platform
    • Develop new client relationships and strengthen existing ones to achieve expected growth and profit contribution
    • Instigate and support new product innovation within Munich Re and clients
    • Assist Treaty Underwriters in the Underwriting process
    • Develop and maintain market profile and visibility
    • Proactive partnership with internal service providers to maximise client service

    Your Profile

    • 3+ years Underwriting or (Re)Insurance broking, demonstrating good understanding of the risk exposure
    • Excellent collaboration and networking skills
    • Eagerness to explore and support new business opportunities beyond traditional Reinsurance
    • Strong analytical skill set
    • ANZIIF membership (preferred) or equivalent
