    About You:

    We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic Registered Nurses to join our Geriatric Services in both 2 West and 4 West. Our teams cater for the restoration and rehabilitation of our older population in the NALHN catchment. Registered Nurses with a genuine interest in bettering the lives of Older People and providing compassionate, clinical and restorative care, are strongly encouraged to apply.

    About the Role:

    Our Geriatric Services are made up of dynamic multidisciplinary teams who all work together to achieve a shared goal - optimising the care of Older People to return home after their acute admission. Our Services are committed to providing best practice care that supports consumer choice and celebrates individuality in ageing. We deliver innovative, holistic, person-centred care to a diverse group of older patients utilising a comprehensive geriatric assessment model. We promote ageing with dignity, respect and compassion through valuing patients time, supportive communication and shared decision making. Shared team values have led to the creation of highly functional teams, with a positive workplace culture.

    In addition, the comprehensive geriatric assessment model provides an opportunity for nurses to apply their holistic clinical assessments and discharge planning skills to their full capacity while incorporating rehabilitation skills. Opportunity for additional upskilling is encouraged utilising our Geriatric Novice to Expert pathway, with succession planning to Clinical Nurse roles promoted.

    To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or be eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
