    Job Summary

    :

    The Fixed Wireless site expansion program expands the coverage and uplifts wholesale speeds available on the fixed wireless network. This fixed wireless access expansion program will involve upgrading and configuring various network elements across Transmission, RAN & RF.

    As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in Radio Access Network (RAN) Integration on Ericsson nodes, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical expertise in the planning, design, implementation, and optimization of RAN solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with the team, assisting with the troubleshooting (on call support) to ensure seamless integration of RAN components and systems, meeting performance objectives and quality standards.

    Roles & Responsibility:

    Ericsson RAN SME:

  • Ericsson 4G/5G BB 66xx/RP 66xx node integration & Troubleshooting
  • Providing SME-level on call support in RAN troubleshooting in 24*7 environment.
  • Script preparation for 5G, 4G, 3G, 2G technologies with automation skills.
  • Analyzing the alarms and providing the RCA for the fault
  • Understanding the KPI parameters and coordinating with the RF team to maintain the threshold.
  • Ericsson eNB/gNB upgrade and integration, which covers Software Upgrades, Cell configuration, neighbors list preparation, etc.
  • Migration of Customers from existing eNB to temporary setup, and migration of customers from temporary setup to upgraded eNB/gNB setup, including Pre-Post checks.
  • Coordinating with the field team for VSWR Test, Optics Test, and RF Validation testing.
  • 4G & 5G Throughput testing.
  • Decommissioning of temporary setup.
  • Ericsson RRU / AIR support to Field Force for External Alarms and Acceptance Test, RETs setup, call tests, and calibration.
  • Need to Perform Configuration/Performance and fault management.
  • Commissioning file and ret report delivery to Field Force for HOP information.
  • Take the necessary preventive and corrective measures to ensure agreed service availability after planned works. Perform second-level troubleshooting processes, ensuring high quality and short service restoring time for RAN elements.
  • Providing resource management support Implementing process and technology improvements to increase operational and organizational efficiency.
  • Tools & Systems Knowledge:

  • Ericsson ENM, BMC Remedy, CPNR – Cisco Prime Network Registrar, MASA- Cisco License Generator
  • WinFiol/Secure CRT, Appian, CNC - Cisco Crosswork Network Controller, NGDM
  • ELIS / CORA, IPACT, EPNM – Cisco Evolved Programmable Network Manager.
  • Strong experience in Hardware upgrades, Migrations, Swap
  • Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in RAN integration, deployment, and optimization in a telecommunications environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of mobile backhaul transmission technologies, protocols (e.g., Ethernet, MPLS), and equipment (e.g., microwave radios, fiber optic cables, routers).
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of RAN technologies, protocols, standards (e.g., 3GPP), and vendor-specific implementations (e.g., Ericsson).
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
