    A fantastic opportunity at nbn, Australia's largest infrastructure project, as a Manager Enterprise Resilience (Crisis Management), reporting to the Senior Manager Enterprise Resilience (Crisis Management).

    A bit about your role

    The purpose of the Enterprise Risk and Resilience function is to enable the business to navigate uncertainty, manage complex risks and to adapt and thrive when managing disruption events and crises.

    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Resilience (Crisis Management), the purpose of the role is to support the design, delivery, enablement, and performance of a fit for purpose and leading practice crisis management program to ensure nbn's strategic response capability. The role has direct accountabilities for integrated crisis and contingency planning, delivery of key activities and deliverables focused on preparing the Executive (ExCo), Board and business for major disruptions and crises.

    The role is pivotal in building and maintaining connection between material business risks and the operational and strategic response and recovery plans; implementation of high value preparedness activities that drive continuous improvement and readiness at the senior leader and executive level and evolving relationships into partnerships with key external stakeholders. The role directly influences the readiness of the business to navigate complexity, disruption events and build on a culture of organisational resilience.

    A bit about you
    The ideal candidate for this position must possess a minimum of strong experience in operational and strategic crisis management, cyber resilience, business continuity planning, disaster management, and/or security risk management at a senior or executive level. They should have a strong background in program management, governance, and advisory roles. The candidate must also have relevant technical program level experience in designing, deploying, supporting, and enabling Crisis Management activities. Operational or strategic experience in navigating real-world emergency, incident, or crisis events within a critical infrastructure environment is essential.

    Special skills and competencies required for this role include crisis management, business continuity, emergency management, and risk management. The candidate should have experience in designing, developing, and delivering training and exercise activities, with a preference for CERT IV or higher qualifications.

    Strong commercial acumen and experience in the telecommunications or equivalent industry are preferred. A current Government security clearance or the ability to attain one within the probation period is essential.

    The candidate should possess strong people leadership skills and exceptional communication and influencing skills. They should be comfortable working at the Executive and senior leadership team layers of an organization, facilitating exercises, presenting reports, and delivering training face-to-face. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for success in this role. The candidate must be able to engage, interact, and achieve at all levels of the organization, mobilizing cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes. High levels of planning and organizing skills are required for this role, as the ability to plan and work on concurrent projects is essential.
