    About the department
    Novo Nordisk Oceania is a high performing affiliate within a mature pharma market environment. You will have the opportunity to liaise with colleagues from the Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Clinical, Medical & Regulatory departments located at Head Office in Sydney, while developing, implementing territory business plans, and prospecting new customers in order to drive sales results for our new and existing products.

    The position is located in Melbourne and reports to the Regional Hospital Sales Director - South Australia /Northern Territory / Victoria / Tasmania / Western Australia.

    The position
    As a Hospital Sales Representative at Novo Nordisk, you will enjoy variety, autonomy, strong working relationships with customers, and the chance to make a difference through our current innovative portfolio of medicines with many future launch opportunities on the horizon.

    Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Promote innovative portfolio of medicines in the therapy areas of diabetes and obesity.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts in hospitals across Melbourne, including Austin, Alfred, Baker & Cabrini Hospitals. Travel to country areas such as Bendigo & Kerang for a minimum of 4-6 trips per year.
    • Demonstrate a growth mindset and entrepreneurial flair in building long-lasting key accounts.
    • Utilize your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with healthcare professionals.
    • Collaborate with colleagues from various departments to develop and implement territory business plans.

    Qualifications

    • Tertiary qualifications in Life Sciences, Nursing, Paramedical, or a business field is preferable.
    • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated Hospital Sales experience within the ethical pharmaceutical industry. A proven track record of building and maintaining access to a network of healthcare professionals and multichannel sales experience within specialties such as Cardiology, Gastroenterology, or Bariatric Surgery is highly desirable.
    • Strong organizational skills and self-motivation and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Must have a current driver's license and the ability to meet the travel requirements of the role including the flexibility for regular travel away from home and the occasional after-hours and weekend work.
    • Must either be an Australian Citizen or be a Permanent resident.
