    Job Description

    Join Australia's No.1 Life Insurer as a Marketing Events Manager. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional brand experience for our stakeholders, in line with TAL's brand, across the Group Life and Retirement business calendar of activity.

    This is a 12-month contract role, working flexibly from our Sydney office.

    In this role you will:

    • Deliver the Group Life and Retirement calendar of event activities in line with the business strategy and ensuring delivery against key marketing and communications objectives.
    • Develop, socialise, and maintain all event process documentation for end to end event management.
    • Engage internal and external stakeholders in a proactive manner to support in list development, partner engagement and follow ups to ensure we get optimal engagement for our activities.
    • Manage event delivery from start to finish including event attendance, as required.
    • Develop and execute conference, event, and sponsorship deliverables to ensure achievement of marketing and communications objectives.
    • Manage the development of content as required for event communications and internal divisional communications.
    • Manage the activity map for all events, including regular engagement forums with key stakeholders.
    • Manage promotional merchandise, warehouse monitoring and reporting, co-ordinating print and distribution as required.
    • Manage individual and overall events budget including invoice processing, budget tracking, monthly accruals, and reporting.
    • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Group partnerships, our Executive Assistant network, Brand & Communications, Legal and Risk.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with industry associations, graphic designers, and agency partners.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3 years' experience in an event management/marketing role or similar
    • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, journalism or related discipline
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
    • Highly organised and have the ability to manage and influence key stakeholders across the business
    • Excellent B2B and B2B2C marketing and communications skills
    • Excellent communication, creative and presentation skills
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
