    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
    • 6 years of experience in business development, sales, operations, or program management.
    • Experience working in software and technology companies, startups, or VC firms.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience managing multiple complex, evolving projects in parallel.
    • Understanding of early stage startup community and technical ecosystem.
    • Ability to analyze large datasets to develop overall regional and partnership-specific growth strategies.
    • Ability to grow with ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing demands of the business.
    • Ability to build relationships across technical and business functions in multiple companies.
    • Excellent influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive other stakeholders without reporting authority.

    About the job

    As an Investor Network Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for being the single point of contact and program/operations lead for a regional team of business development professionals working with venture capital, accelerator, and other startup ecosystems. You will work with these firms and their portfolio companies to drive awareness, adoption, and customer success with Google Cloud services. You'll own the playbooks that define engagement with the investor ecosystem, monitor and share best practices, and be the expert on global programs and offerings for our investor partners. You'll be the liaison with the Global Google Cloud Startup team, synthesizing regional insights and feedback and using those to help drive the overall global ecosystem strategy. In addition, you will collaborate with peers internally in Sales, Strategy and Operations, Customer Engineering, Marketing, and Partnership Solutions.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive value creation for the portfolio companies through the adoption and usage of Google Cloud services, liaising with various functions internally to address the needs of portfolio companies.
    • Analyze the effectiveness of specific investor engagement efforts, and make recommendations for how to best work with our ecosystem partners.
    • Support partnership efforts with priority Venture Capital (VC) firms by acting as a central point of contact for a distributed team of relationship managers.
    • Drive ongoing governance (executive engagement, QBRs, and annual reviews) to grow partnerships, while working with key stakeholders and regional leaders on go-to-market plans.
    • Work closely with Cloud regional leadership and internal stakeholders to develop regional ecosystem strategy, aligned to global strategy and programs. Motivate and manage performance of distributed teams, onboarding team members, and coaching to optimize engagement.
