- To develop the knowledge base, clinical competencies and practical procedure skills, research basics and self-education habits.
- To undertake radiological service delivery to the Departments patients, consulting service to external clinical units, intra-extra department teaching, and radiology research under the supervision of Director of interventional Radiology.
- Attend DSA lab, clinic, ward rounds with intern and areas as indicated by the Director of Interventional Radiology.
- Maintain active communication with MIT and Nursing staff rostered to that area and with supervising consultant radiology to ensure active management of daily worklist and availability of medical staff.
- Report and perform procedures (as relevant to work area) within limits of own competence and under supervision of consultant radiologist rostered to the area.
- There is an On-Call component which is 1 in 2 weeks or 1 in 3 weeks.
- Registration with AHPRA / Medical Board of Australia
- Good standing with own Medical Defense Organisation
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
- Medical Degree from a medical school recognised in Victoria
- Successful completion of an intern year and at least one post-intern year
- Public Medical Imaging Department (MID) located in the main inpatient services (IPS) building
- MRI and PET located in Daly basement
- St Vincent's Private Radiology (SVPR) located in Basement of 55 Victoria Pde, Fitzroy.
- DSA suite within Main Inpatient Building and access to St Vincent's Private Hospital Vascular lab.
