    We are recruiting on behalf of a Federal Government Department that is a vital member of Australia's national security community. This Department works across the full spectrum of operations required of contemporary signals intelligence and security agencies.

    This Department is seeking an experience Network Engineer to join their team for a long term opportunity within a secure working environment.

    SFIA Skills required for this role are as follows;

    • NTAS3
    • ITOP3

    Major Responsibilities

    AVNet System Admin - The contractor shall present to an ASD facility in order to gain access to AVNet and complete general maintenance activities, including but not limited to

    • Software and firmware updates
    • Feature updates as requested by end users
    • Bug fixing

    Design and build new control systems - Under general direction from the AVS Team Lead, the contractor will be required to perform a number of tasks in support of new systems. Such tasks may include

    • Working with customers to create new user interfaces including GUI design, programming using Extron Global Configurator Professional (GCP) and developing user guides.
    • Complete physical connection of LAN connected hardware to ASD's networks.
    • Work closely with other AV contractors and teams within ASD to bring new systems online (interstate travel may be required).
    • Configure other AV system components such as audio DSPs and video wall processors.
    • Update documentation including system designs, user guides and asset information as necessary.

    Key Experience required

    • Essential- Minimum 3 years designing and programming audio visual control systems.
    • Essential - Extron 'Control Professional' certificate
    • Desired - Proficiency with Extron Global Configurator Pro (GCP)
