    The Company

    Our client is the technology arm of a market leading automotive group. The business is undergoing an exciting time of innovation across their product range and predict great long-term projection of where the business can go. They require the skillset of a seasoned procurement professional who can come in and take ownership of their newly create function.

    The Role

    Reporting directly to the GM of Operations, the Procurement Manager role will be responsible for:

    • Establishing a global sourcing strategy and provide expert guidance to the businesses senior executive team.
    • Identify and create good relationships with new global suppliers.
    • Assess and revaluate cost across the business procurement spend.
    • Benchmark product design vs supplier and business performance.
    • Ensure supplier base, current and new, are in line with the businesses morals and core values.
    • Responsible for full supplier management. Running full end-to-end tenders and contract negotiations. Drive and manage full supplier meetings and mix both technical and commercial discussions with the help from engineering.
    • Provide global benchmarking.
    • Ensure suppliers comply with legal and tax restrictions.
    • Follow APQP processes for quality purposes.
    • Create and define supplier quality requirements for the business.

    Your Background

    • Bachelor's degree or master's in relevant field.
    • Strategic Procurement experience in technology/electronics in engineering and global manufacturing. Automotive would be a great advantage.
    • Strong negotiation and ability to lead large tender processes with international suppliers.
    • Strong understanding of MRP/EPR and Inventory management.
    • Good ability to assess risk within supply chain management.
    • Expert procurement processes.
    • Quality accredited such as – APQP
    • Excel communication skills and the ability to influence key stakeholder both internal and external on what good looks like from a procurement function.
    • Proven track record in driving results within a complexed engineering environment.
