    Location: Perth or South Australia - Hybrid or Remote working with travel as required.

    Our client is a fast growing, software company, founded in Sydney, and has been in operations for nearly 15 years. The company is looking to expand its presence across all territories in Australia and NZ.

    They are seeking an ambitious and energetic Business Development Associate to help expand the growing organisation in Perth. You will be the face of the company and will have the dedication to help create and deliver an effective sales strategy, assisted by key senior members of the business.

    The goal is to increase presence across key regions, leveraging from the ongoing success that has been achieved in the business to date.

    You will play a key role in:

    • Develop a growth strategy for the region assisted by Senior Management
    • The focus will be on increasing the footprint of software applications and services in our key vertical markets
    • Arrange business meetings with prospective new clients
    • Promote the company's products/services
    • Manage and maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline.
    • Provide feedback to the business on customer requirements, competitor activity and the business landscape
    • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
    • Working with our Marketing Manager and Senior Sales Team on key Sales initiatives

    Requirements:

    The candidate that we are looking for may come from internal sales, account management, customer support or consulting services, looking to further their career in direct sales in business development (SaaS industry).

    • An understanding of the sales cycle in public sector and/or local government would be an advantage, but not a prerequisite
    • Experience in HRIS and/or Talent management solutions desirable
    • Experience with Governance, Risk and/or Compliance solutions desirable
    • Excellent presentation, communication skills
    • Ability to build rapport with prospects and clients quickly
    • Excellent time management and planning skills
    • A willingness to learn software applications and present software applications to prospective customers at a high level
    • Ability and willingness to travel on a regular basis, or as required

    Negotiable Base Salary plus Commission.
