    THE ROLEPURPOSE AND SCOPEThe Senior Project Manager will have proven experience in Project Management and the ability to lead projects and project teams of various sizes.

    They are an integral part of the Vesta management team in Alice Springs and must be able to deliver a high-quality housing improvement program.

    The position will provide the opportunity to drive high-profile projects within the local community and to coordinate the completion of projects on time, within budget and scope.

    You will be responsible for setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities to your team and to monitor and report on the progress of your projects.

    Working within the broader Vesta management team you will ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are kept on track.

    Responsibilities include achieving the project deliverables, preparing project status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans as well as providing ongoing services to our tenants and properties within the Alice Springs community.

    The Senior Project Manager will need to have a proactive interest in client-side project management and a strong understanding of how a project management consultant operates with clients.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities/Duties Management of the construction packages including assessment of claims, variations, RFI's, progress inspections, etc.
    through to practical completion.

    Develop Scopes of Work for minor and major projects, including annual planning, monthly reporting, contract administration, budget review and management of the defect liability periods for all properties.

    Managing Projects, Project Team and all sub-contractors Preparation of tender documents and management of the procurement process.
    Undertake site inspections, ensuring site safety is followed by all contractors and staff.

    Contract and Contractor Management Working to ensure that Safety is an integral part of everyday activities Assisting in other areas of the business as required Have technical knowledge of basic building and construction principals.

    Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a willingness to be flexible QUALIFICATIONSDiploma in

    Project Management Field:

    Construction Management, Site Management, Business Administration Bachelor's degree in project management or similar Certification with AIPM Understanding of civil project management frameworks Administrator level SAP experience Field: Project Management, Business Administration TICKETS AND LICENCESWhite Card At least 4 to 5 years Project Management experience.

    Excellent communication skills and ability to brief at all levels to include Senior Leadership Proven ability to lead a Projects Team Experience writing and developing polices & procedures Ability to adapt to change and contribute to continuous improvement Proven ability to deliver projects on time, to schedule and client parameters including a goodunderstanding of building project management frameworks Demonstrated customer focus Prior evidence of community, council and stakeholder management and consultation High level of client service skills to develop effective working relationships with all stakeholders Prior experience in following project management frameworks Experience in developing proposals, contracts and managing sub-contractor agreements in building construction environments.

    Sound computer skills including a good knowledge of Microsoft Office products including MS Project, Excel and Word Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills Constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness.

    The employee is occasionally required to stand.
    Must possess advanced planning/organizing skills and must be able to work to deadlines.
