    Sr. Account Executive, Mid-Market Sales

    Job Summary

    Primary day-to-day activities include Account Management in the Mid-Market space to land new opportunities, co-selling with EQ field sales and Channel Partners.

    Responsibilities

    Prospecting

  • Build and pursue high propensity prospects with opportunities through cold calling prospects, create quality pipeline, close deals and hit the Quota
  • Ability to position and articulate Equinix's value preposition, understand customer's pain points, desired outcomes and work efficiently with Global Solution Architects to architect a solution for our Customers
  • Collaborate effectively with other Sales stakeholders including Channel Partners/Opportunity Development/Tech Alliance Partners Team to strategize GTM strategy, account mapping, generate strong funnel and lead sales opportunity qualification
  • Prospects account base to sell global platform and exporting business outside of country
  • Pipeline Management

  • Actively monitors and update status of opportunities in SalesForce Database, following the principles of forecasting within a diverse scope
  • Building Customer Relationships

  • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders in assigned accounts/prospects
  • Facilitates customer relationships to ensure timely resolution of customer issues
  • Conducts Quarterly Business Reviews and Leads Executive Briefings on occasion
  • Solution Selling

  • Identifies customer's business needs, challenges, and technical requirements and recommends to Equinix solutions
  • Negotiation

  • Leads commercial offer and contract negotiations, leveraging internal resources as needed to obtain best commercial terms possible
  • Understands commercial levers and work out creative commercial offerings and deal structure
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 + years of related experience or equivalent work experience
  • Good inter-personal and communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong presentation skills to audiences small or large
  • Results Oriented. Demonstrated track record of success
  • Prior experience working with Channel Partners or some level of technology knowledge would be of added advantage
  • Strong business acumen
  • Open to guidance from leadership
  • Self starter and independent worker
  • Ad-hoc travel might be required
