    Overview
    Access and Equity play a key role in the shared strategic goal of progressing equity, diversity and inclusion at Edith Cowan University. The area is responsible for providing high quality services to students, delivering enabling programs, and embedding evidenced-based equitable and inclusive practice across the institution.

    Within Access and Equity, the Access and Inclusion team provides expert assistance to students and staff in the management, administration and coordination of student equity, diversity and disability services. In this role, you will provide frontline reception services for students, staff and community members who contact Access and Inclusion, and administrative support to the Accessibility Advisors and Director, Access and Equity within a context of confidentiality in handling sensitive information. Working within an administrative team, the Accessibility Administrative Officer will support the day-to-day running of Access and Inclusion.

    Key Criteria
    The successful candidate will have demonstrated capability to:

  • Provide a high level of customer focus, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work sensitively and effectively with a diverse range of people,
  • Deliver frontline reception services and administrative support, with an understanding of confidentiality in handling information,
  • Work efficiently and autonomously on directed goals and tasks, including managing competing priorities
  • Undertake tasks with a high level of computer literacy and ability to learn new software platforms relevant to the role.

    Benefits & Remuneration
    This 0.6 FTE (part time – 60%) ongoing position will attract a remuneration of $71,918 to $76,598 pa (60% pro-rata) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
