Description

Our client are a leading manufacturing business who have experienced record YOY growth in the last 5 years.
We are seeking an interim Financial Controller (3 months contract) to oversee our accounting operations and drive financial performance.
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a proven track record of financial leadership.

This is a unique opportunity where the role is based in their regional NSW office (2 hours from Sydney) for 2 days and is working from home 3 days a week.

All travel expenses and accommodation for the 2 days a week are covered

Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the company's accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to management for improvement.
Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate projections.
Coordinate external audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline operations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
CA or CPA qualification preferred.
Strong financial governance experience
Experience with implementing systems would be advantageous
