    ABOUT THE POSITION

    Our business seeks experienced and talented Project and Shutdown Scheduler to join our team and contribute to TLEA's exciting global vision on a permanent full-time basis, working in our office located in Kwinana.

    Reporting to the Projects and Shutdown Superintendent, the successful applicants will be responsible for providing a high level of coordination, front-line leadership and support across capital projects and project execution.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Strong commitment to work safely, complying with all site safety standards. Develop and implement safe systems, standards, and procedures for the LiOH refinery.
    • Collate all shutdown work packs and prepare shutdown schedules for planned maintenance campaigns and extended plant shutdowns.
    • Collate all minor capital project plans and work packs and prepare a year-long schedule for their execution. Communicate with Project Coordinators to update the schedule during the year.
    • Publish and distribute schedules for both shutdowns and projects, levelling all support resources such as cranes, scaffolds, and insulation/lagging. Understand and manage simultaneous operations and their interactions.
    • Facilitate sessions with the Operations team and Major Capital Works team to clearly define run down, commissioning and ramp up schedules. Integrate into the complete schedule.
    • From the scheduled work, identify required contractor resource loading and communicate headcount to the Shutdown and Projects Superintendent.
    • Manage the shutdown calendar. Define and communicate cut-off dates for the scope freeze for the shutdown. Manage the approved Late Activity Request (LAR) forms for all work entering and exiting the shutdown after this period.
    • Present the complete shutdown schedule by the required dates to the Superintendent Shutdowns and Projects are ready for execution.
    • During the execution of the shutdowns track job progress in the plant and present in daily shutdown meetings on schedule compliance, with S curves.
    • Assist with budgeting of future planned shutdowns, assisting in defining shutdown frequency and scope.
    • Present fortnightly with the Superintendent Projects and Shutdowns to the Maintenance Manager on project progress and shutdown readiness.

    ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

    • 3+ years' experience in oil, gas, petrochemical or mineral refineries in a scheduling/planning capacity..
    • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
    • Significant experience developing schedules and / or maintenance / production plans using Microsoft Project.
    • Committed and practical approach to safety and wellbeing of all staff.
    • Ability to engage and communicate clearly with team and liaise with all levels of the organisation.
    • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to prioritise and complete multiple tasks.
    • Excellent knowledge of refinery operational practices.
    • Possesses excellent stakeholder engagement attributes and has an inclusive and open style.
