    We are seeking individuals with a background in Employment Services or Disability Employment interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Central Coast NSW.

    As a Job Placement Consultant, you will take your existing experience to a new level supporting clients in their career transition and return to work.

    You will undertake a variety of activities including:

    • Work collaboratively with injured workers, potential employers, and your internal team of allied health professionals to provide safe, sustainable opportunities for workers to re-enter the workforce;
    • Varied client groups for variety in your workday and caseload;
    • Contribute to injured workers ability to achieve return to work goals through job skills development, confidence building and promoting independence;
    • Apply and deliver customer service in employment services and job placement;
    • Empower clients to effectively present their skills and abilities when seeking employment;
    • Brokering new employment or work experience opportunities in remote and regional areas which in turn, provide a swift re-engagement into employment for workers who have been detached from the workplace;
    • Build strong relationships with local employers and organisations;
    • Assist in developing written Labour Market Research reports and brokering vocational programs that support return to work outcomes.
    Qualifications

    As a Successful Job Placement Consultant will possess:

    • Have a passion for Employment Services or Disability Employment keen to diversify your knowledge, skill set and portfolio. Experience in employment services, case management, disability employment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of worker's compensation, rehabilitation and occupational health and safety legislation;
    • Drive, energy and professionalism, with a personable approach and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations, grow services and build relationships;
    • Flexible work hours arrangement: part-time and full-time opportunities are available;
    • A strong verbal and written communicator;
    • Excellent time management skills, be able to work autonomously as well as within a team environment;
    • Excellent administrative skills, competent with MS Office and MS Outlook;
    • Have the confidence and initiative to solve problems and achieve outcomes;
    • Bilingual/multilingual is desirable eg. Arabic, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Farsi, Hindi;
    • Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or able and willing to obtain);
    • Current NSW's Driver Licence, road worthy motor vehicle and comprehensive insurance; due to location some travel may be expected;
    • Also welcoming candidates who will be working towards a tertiary qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology with an interest in exploring Occupational Rehabilitation as a future career path.
