    Job Description

    Great opportunity to lead a production team, with a focus on safety, driving team performance and delivering productivity targets

    Are you an experienced Operations Team Supervisor looking to take the next step in your career?

    As part of the Supply Chain team, this role will be to lead the production team at one of our sites in Derrimut, providing direction and support to the team, ensuring productivity targets are met and leading innovation and change across the shift. This role will be working on the day shift(6am – 2:30pm). This site is undergoing significant increase in demand, and will require the skills of an accomplished leader to help build the team and drive productivity while maintaining strict safety standards.

    The key responsibilities of this role include:

    • Creating a positive, productive and safe working environment
    • Ensuring continuous improvement in safety and quality
    • Providing leadership, direction, coaching and support to the team
    • Driving team performance, providing recognition or creating improvement plans as required
    • Ensuring productivity targets are met via appropriate resourcing and planning

    The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:

    • Demonstrated supervisory experience in an automated and fast paced industrial production or operations environment
    • The leadership capability to drive and motivate a diverse multi-cultural workforce
    • Solid experience in performance management and conflict resolution
    • A commitment to safety, continuous improvement, innovation and change
    • Some exposure to production and maintenance planning, embracing the use of technology
    • Strong communication and team building skills
    • Experience in a highly unionised environment preferred
