    We are seeking an innovative Resource Manager to join our team, based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

    You will be an integral member of a globally networked Resource Management function, supporting the mobility of people and work across our global firm. You will deliver expert work allocation advice to the practice group, balancing the needs of our clients, business, and the career aspirations and wellbeing of our people.

    As Resource Manager, you will:

    Solve complex work allocation problems and anticipate business challenges that might arise, advising a range of stakeholders on solutions and preventative measures.

    Build trusted relationships with lawyers and partners in the practice group.

    Input into the design and delivery of work allocation process improvements across the Practice Group in conversation with the Managing Partner.

    Attend management and senior leadership meetings to present on current workflow, ongoing needs, challenges, utilisation levels and current/future state of secondments.

    Receive all secondment requests (both internal and external) and facilitate the staffing process end-to-end.

    Support Graduate rotation supply/ demand and growth discussions objectively and on behalf of the practice group.

    Optimise allocation of work by continuously monitoring current and anticipated pipeline levels, helping to smooth utilisation levels where required.

    Actively participate in driving the Resource Management strategy to help the firm to achieve its overall objectives.

    Where resource management is new to the practice group, proactively support the change management and embedding of the function.

    To be successful in this role, you will have:

    Demonstrable experience in building strategic relationships at all levels.

    Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, adept at influencing senior stakeholders and fostering connections while providing support across all levels within the group.

    Dynamic, proactive, and flexible individual with a high level of energy, capable of showcasing initiative.

    Demonstrable experience in data analysis, planning, forecasting, trend spotting, mitigating risks, and reporting.

    Ability to act quickly under tight deadlines.

    Strong presentation and leadership speaking skills.

    Prior experience in Resource Management, ideally within a large professional services or legal environment.

    Excellent IT skills/experience working with resource management software.
