    We are seeking a suitably experienced Senior Safety Professional to support our Coomera Connector Project based in Helensvale. You will be responsible for contributing to an effective safety culture, by aligning with our "Living Safely" ethos, and driving compliance with WHS legislation.

    As Senior Safety Advisor, you will develop and continuously enhance the safety culture through the delivery of risk-based safety strategies, and you will manage the safety system and report on periodic safety KPI's. As an expert in the field, you will manage and monitor corrective actions, and liaise with regulatory agencies/project stakeholders as required. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in safety leadership and demonstrated industry experience and technical knowledge, as well as Tertiary qualifications in OH&S.

    It is expected that the successful applicant will ensure that the project safety system requirements are implemented and maintained and compliant with legislative requirements. In addition, there will be a requirement to conduct regular workplace inspections to ensure SWMS are adequate, effective and are suitable for the work being conducted.

    Actions from inspections, audits, incident investigations, observations, hazard reports, site meetings are to be captured, recorded, and effectively managed until closed out. As a Senior Safety Advisor, it would be expected that you would be able to work across multiple levels of workforce and staff (including management). Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, this is a hands on role, requiring someone who can communicate well with workforce, Supervisors, Engineers and Management; be proactive in their approach; and is a team player.
