    • Salary: $227,591 - $299,884 p.a. – MD2; Permanent Part-Time – 15 hours per week (Multiple Positions)

    About You:

    Are you a dedicated and compassionate Consultant Dermatologist looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic, growing healthcare network? If so, then this could be the opportunity for you. You will see a broad spectrum of dermatologic disorders, and contribute to the training and mentorship of junior doctors working with the team.

    You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships. You will also have an ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role.

    Consultants with subspecialty interests such as skin cancer and procedural dermatology will be particularly well regarded, as are consultants with an interest (and experience) in teaching registrars.

    About the Role:

    An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Consultant Dermatologist within the Division of Surgical Specialties and Anaesthetics.

    This position will offer you professional growth opportunities within a supportive and inclusive culture. In this key position you will demonstrate your experience and previous success working as a Consultant Dermatologist to ensure high quality care is delivered to our consumers.

    The appointee will:

    • Be a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and be eligible for enrolment on the Specialist Register of South Australia.
    • Will be responsible for managing the care of patients with dermatological conditions in consultation with the responsible Registrars, Medical Officers, Nurses and Allied Health professionals.
    • Participate in Continuing Education activities.
    • Participate in Patient Safety and Clinical Risk Management activities.
    • Undertake a commitment to continuous quality improvement activities including regular quality audit.
    • Will have extensive experience and undertaken specialised training in the field of Dermatology.
    • The applicant may also be required to contribute to an after hours roster.

    To be eligible for this position, you must have

    ESSENTIAL MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Educational/Vocational Qualifications

    • Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists
    • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
    • Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.

    The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.
