Located in the South West, halfway between Bunbury and Busselton, the Shire of Capel offers a unique opportunity to drive youth programs and initiatives across the community. As a key player in our Youth Services portfolio, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our young people. Key responsibilities include coordinating and delivering our flagship 'InZone' school holiday program, organizing events and projects such as 'Youth Week,' and implementing youth leadership and development initiatives in collaboration with our Youth Collectives.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant degree and/or experience in a similar role, demonstrated and extensive experience in dealing with youth programs, initiatives, and events, experience in report writing and grant submissions, and project management of community-based projects. Strong computer skills in MS Office, internet, and email are essential, as well as a current C class drivers' licence and Working with Children Check.
A strong team focus and positive attitude are crucial in this role, which also requires flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings to work with community groups. Experience in marketing and promotions, awareness of Disability Access & Inclusion principles and issues, and knowledge of local government policies and procedures will be highly regarded.
