    About Our Client

    The Magistrates' Court of Victoria is seeking a confident and highly motivated individual to join our Court Support Services program at the Shepparton Magistrates' Court.

    Job Description

    Case managers are integral members of the program team, delivering high quality case management to eligible clients with complex needs who are involved with the court system. This role provides short-term (up to 4 months) case management support to people on bail with a range of complex needs who are participating in the CISP program. The role also provides longer-term (up to 12 months) case management support to people with complex mental illness and/or cognitive impairment needs who are participating in the ARC. You will attend Court on a monthly basis to provide expert advice to the Magistrate and other key stakeholders. Working within the court environment, you will provide clients with support to address the issues that are contributing to their offending behaviour and to shape positive behavioural change.

    The Successful Applicant

    • Tertiary qualifications (highly desirable) Diploma (highly desirable) and/or relevant case management experience (such as forensic, family violence, AOD, homelessness, and/or mental health).
    • Case management experience in engaging and working with clients with complex needs
    • Capacity to establish effective working relationships with the judiciary, legal professionals, and service/court staff, write formal reports/case notes, and speak to your work in a court setting.
    • Experience communicating hope and optimism for change and applying a person-centred and evidence-based approach to enhance the client's motivation.
