    What are we looking for?

    Due to continued growth, our Victorian team is now seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer to join our National Abuse Law practice. We are open to discussions around office location and flexible work.

    This rare and exciting opportunity is now available for a proactive, passionate and results driven Lawyer who will specialise or is keen to specialise in abuse matters. You will be working with some amazing likeminded individuals who are incredibly passionate about advocating for victims of abuse.

    Our abuse law lawyers, and support staff assist clients who may have had to deal with sexual or physical abuse (including historical trauma such as childhood abuse).

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Instrumental in managing an Abuse practice and carry a file load
  • Continually exploring new opportunities for your practice and developing new business
  • Maintaining strong client relationships
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and an ability to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated skills in effective network and relationship management
  • Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems expeditiously
  • Assisting and mentoring junior lawyers with their development and case progression

    You will be a committed and enthusiastic individual who possesses the following:

  • Previous experience and a passion for Personal Injury, in particular, Abuse law
  • Superior communication skills
  • A calm and easy-going nature
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues and challenging issues
  • Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems expeditiously
  • Demonstrated skills in effective network and relationship management
  • An understanding and/or qualification in psychology would be highly desirable
