    Description

    We are currently working closely with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy from the urban and town planning industry who are growing in Melbourne.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • As a Principal Urban/Town Planner (Statutory or Strategic), you will guide the development and implementation of comprehensive urban and town planning strategies, leading the planning team.
    • You will manage mid to large size projects simultaneously, driving high performance from your team while acting as a Project Manager.
    • Closely work with company directors to liaise with private clients and public industry bodies to identify new market opportunities.
    • Serve as the main point of contact with external clients, providing project updates and delivering high-quality work to achieve repeat business.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including economists, urban planners, and community stakeholders.

    Requirements:

    • Hold a Planning degree or related discipline.
    • Possess 8+ years of experience in town/urban planning, either in consultancy or state/local government.
    • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Victorian Planning framework.
    • Have a solid understanding of approvals across industries, including Infrastructure, Residential, and Commercial.
    • Show excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
