    About the Opportunity

    Reporting into the Program Manager, The Project Manager will support various projects related to the Sovereign Shipbuilding Talent Pool (SSTP) including the development and management of scopes of work and supporting the delivery of projects from conception through to completion. Development of opportunities to facilitate workforce growth for current and future programs.

    This role is a Permanent full time opportunity, based in Osborne, SA.

    Responsibilities

  • Negotiate, establish and implement project plans to deliver workforce development programs for the purpose of facilitating the workforce growth for current and future programs
  • Establish project(s) schedule baseline and cost baseline in accordance with the Project Plans.
  • Project management activities as it relates to assigned projects under the Management Services Agreement.
  • Develop and maintain the project(s) schedule and PMB consistent with the scope, cost and duration in accordance with the Project Plans.
  • Engagement with key stakeholders both across ASC and with the Submarine Enterprise to develop and understand demands and opportunities for SSTP placements.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities necessary to complete the assigned project(s) or elements of projects in accordance with the cost and schedule baseline.
  • Skills & Experiences

  • A minimum of five years' experience in a complex project environment in a project manager (or equivalent related role).
  • Tertiary qualifications in a workforce development or project management discipline or equivalent experience in a systems engineering, naval construction or complex asset management / development environment.
  • Demonstrable practical knowledge of scheduling, Earned Value Management, financial, stakeholder and personnel management as applicable to a complex project environment.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Membership of the AIPM or equivalent (desirable).
