    The Company

    The Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority (QRIDA) is a specialist provider of government grants, loans, advisory support and farm debt services to rural and regional Queensland. They have been helping primary producers make a start in agriculture, improve sustainability and profitability, recover from natural disaster and other challenges for more than 25 years.

    As the Queensland Government's experts in rural finance, they manage a host of programs to support the agricultural sector, but increasingly are also doing more in many other sectors.     The Program

    As a graduate on QRIDA's Graduate Connect Program, you will work on projects that will help develop your skills and capabilities, including rotations to other areas of the department. The 2-year program will support your transition from study to full-time employment. You will be supported by a mentor and a supervisor to ensure your time in the program is a success and participate as a member of a team that is making a difference for the people of rural and regional Queensland.

    The Program is designed to:

    • Gain insight into issues by analysing available information in a critical manner
    • Share and seek creative ideas
    • Take initiative to collaborate with people from a diverse range of backgrounds, experiences, and expertise
    • Contribute to the development of team objectives

    • Actively seek feedback and modifies approach to enhance own effectiveness
    The Person

    We are keen to hear from you if you possess the following skills, experience and key attributes:
    • Qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution in Policy, Business, Commerce, Economics, Data Science, Science (Agriculture/Horticulture/Marine/Environment/Ecology/Animal/Chemical Engineering/Botany)
    • Graduated between 2022 and before February 2024
    • Hold Australian citizenship or reside in Australia and have permission to work in Australia under Commonwealth law
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Work effectively both autonomously and within a team
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
