Cafe Chef Salary:- $70,000- $75,000 plus Superannuation per annum. Shiv Dhun Pty Ltd Trading as Pops Cafe.
Location: 34 Ranelagh Drive, Mount Eliza, Vic, 3930
Position: 38 hours per week
About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Chef join our team. As a chef, you will be
responsible for supporting every kitchen section with stock ordering, food production and
dispatching within the company, including off-site events. This role will require working on
weekdays and weekends as per the business requirements.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Plan and develop menus to ensure high quality food products and restaurant
profitability.
2. Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers.
3. Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary
food-handling practices.
4. Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, Estimate food
requirements and food costs.
5. Train and clean kitchen and work area.
6. Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
7. Monitor food stock and place orders.
8. Check freshness of food and discard out of date items.
9. Ability to communicate efficiently
10. Self-motivated and able to take responsibility.
11. Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
12. Excellent organisational skills.
13. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.
14. The ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen
15. Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written

17. A proactive approach to system improvements
18. Knowledge of HACCP and relevant Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

Skills and experience
1. Qualified Chefs must have an experience of 2 years working as a chef in a restaurant
or a café.
2. Applicant must have Certification in Commercial Cookery from Australia or Overseas
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
4. Excellent time management skills to meet flight schedules.
5. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
