The Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade (DITT) works in partnership with business and industry to develop and broaden the Northern Territory's economic base through investment attraction, business and workforce growth.
Within DITT, the Office of Sustainable Energy is responsible for developing, advocating and implementing energy policies, strategies, regulations and projects to support emerging clean energy industries and the reliable, affordable and sustainable supply of energy to Territorians.
As Executive Director Projects, your primary objective will be to provide executive leadership and strategic direction to the Office of Sustainable Energy project staff, other NT Government personnel and external consultants to effectively deliver key renewable energy infrastructure projects.
Your core duties will involve the planning, coordination and delivery of major energy infrastructure projects. This will include identifying and effectively managing project risks, including technical, cultural, financial or environmental challenges; providing high-quality expert advice and recommendations to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO), Mining and Energy, Minister and the Departments' senior leadership team.
Your success will be measured by your leadership, collaboration and influence along with your capacity to forge productive and effective relationships and build networks to achieve high-level strategic goals.
You will play a crucial role in developing government policies and executing projects and strategies that enable the achievement of the Northern Territory's 50% renewable energy target on the pathway to a net zero emissions future.
You will receive a competitive salary package inclusive of five weeks recreational and three weeks personal leave, superannuation and the option to lease a motor vehicle.
