  • About the role

    The Casual Relieving Administrative Officer is accountable to the Business Consultant, Surgical Directorate for relieving annual leave, long service leave and other types of unexpected leave of clerical, reception, ward clerk or secretarial positions. The Casual Relieving Administrative Officer is responsible for the monitoring and allocation of the work of groups of clerical staff and provision of expert assistance to staff in the groups currently being relieved. This entails using a teamwork approach, coordinating day-to-day workloads within the group, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely and accurate manner, handling more complex work tasks and problems, liaising with hospital staff to identify requirements/priorities and providing guidance and advice to less experienced staff in the group.
