    Your opportunity to join us for the morning shift with some flexibility for overtime.

    As a Fitter, you will be supporting our Maintenance team in attending to repairs and breakdowns of production machinery in a timely manner. We are looking for an experienced Fitters to cover a static shift, Monday to Friday with NO rotation, some weekend work may be required to support the team.

    Daily Tasks:

    • Ensure a safe workplace, identify and address risks appropriately and demonstrate positive safety behaviours
    • Execute maintenance activities according to the weekly work schedule and unscheduled work as required
    • Perform preventative mechanical maintenance inspections on factory equipment
    • Execute machining tasks, hydraulic and pneumatic system fault finding and equipment rebuild/refurbishments
    • Develop and enhance task-lists, work procedures and instructions
    • Monitor and ensure proper functioning of newly built reverse osmosis WWTP plant on a daily basis
    • Monitor and ensure proper functioning of boilers and air compressors on a daily basis
    • Identify machinery within the production area production that are not running efficiently and trouble shoot
    • Identify and escalate Animal Welfare, Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards and risks

    To be successful in this role, you will need to:

    • Trade Qualified – Tool and Die Maker and or fitter / machinist
    • Minimum 3 years' experience within a fixed plant manufacturing environment; food manufacturing will be considered as an advantage for this position
    • Knowledge of WHS&E requirements and safe work practices
    • Competent welding and fabrication skills
    • Turner ability will be considered as an advantage for this position
    • Competent mechanical knowledge of industrial manufacturing plant and machinery – exposure to roll forming plant highly regarded
    • knowledge of pneumatic & Hydraulic systems
    • Experience in running industrial boiler plant
    • Knowledge and understanding of how a reverse osmosis WWTP plant run will be considered as an advantage for this position
    • Able to do shift work
    • Confined space, working at height, EWP & BA set ticket
