    About the role
    We are currently seeking an OHW Senior Project Engineer to join our ever-growing Rail Operations team based in Perth.

    Rail Operations is an internal business unit within Laing O'Rourke, specialising in the sole delivery of all aspects of Rail, working with a team of technical experts to deliver a high portfolio of work across Western Australia.

    Key Responsibilities

    Coordinate the project activities and engage the subcontractors to ensure a safe, timely and quality product
    Develop and deliver management plans and controls to aid the delivery of the project.

    Manage the technical risk and opportunities that present on the project and lead the development of any innovative and new initiatives or processes that may be trialled on the project.

    Monitors budget and risk register for project and advises variations and responsible for managing budget for their assigned work scope.

    Establish and maintain the tools to provide the client with accurate information as required by the contract.

    Plan, program and regularly monitor the design activities to a timely and cost-effective conclusion ensuring the design is managed according to the client's brief, is buildable, safe and prevents re-work or ongoing defects.

    About You

    Degree in an Engineering Discipline (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) or Construction Management with Chartered Professional Engineer status or equivalent
    Minimum of 10 years' experience in the Engineering/Construction field (preferably in the rail sector)
    Experience working with the 1500 V DC overhead wiring traction system and associated Feeders (11k V, 33k V, and 66k V)
    Preferably experience working on 25,000 V AC overhead wiring systems (if applicable)
    Preferably experience in testing and commissioning of 1500 V DC traction power systems (if applicable)
