We have an opportunity for a Senior Associate to join a growing national insurance organisation that has an incorporated legal practice.

The successful candidate will enjoy working alongside an experienced, large team of lawyers nationally, many ex-top tier and enjoy a friendly and collegiate environment.

This role will suit an insurance, litigation/dispute resolution lawyer who has experience in professional indemnity.
Perhaps you are seeking a position with a more down-to-earth, 'in-house' feel with no billable hours or BD.

The role reports directly to the Director / Partner and will be advising on a mix of professional indemnity, public liability, claims and policy advisory work.

Core Responsibilities
Provide legal advice to a wide range of industries, including infrastructure, construction, real estate and property sector through to IT professionals, architects and professional services
Be responsible for and have carriage of your own files, with support and appropriate supervision from the national team and Directors
Undertake a mix of public liability claims work and policy advisory with a strong focus on professional indemnity
The Successful Candidate
Values-led legal professional with 4-10 years' post qualification experience
Background in defendant insurance litigation ideally with professional indemnity experience though other areas will be considered and training provided
Commercial approach and ability to work relatively autonomously and run your matters (with support where needed).
Strong client relationship skills and understands the importance of providing technically excellent advice
Self motivated lawyer who enjoys working on matters from end to end
Team player who appreciates the importance of collegiality and mentoring of more junior lawyers
