Job description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Storeman & Showroom Assistant to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on warehouse work while also engaging
directly with customers in a showroom environment. The successful candidate will support
both the storage and retail functions — ensuring efficient inventory management, excellent
customer service, and a professional showroom presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Store / Warehouse Duties
• Receive, check, and organize incoming stock and deliveries
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch or collection
• Ensure the warehouse area is clean, safe, and well-organized
• Conduct regular stock takes and assist with stock control processes
Showroom & Customer Service
• Greet and assist customers in the showroom, providing product information and
advice
• Process sales transactions through the POS system efficiently and accurately
• Maintain the showroom's visual presentation and ensure displays are well-stocked
and appealing
• Handle product inquiries, quotes, and follow-ups in a professional manner
• Provide exceptional after-sales service and support
Team & Operations Support
• Collaborate with sales, logistics, and management teams to ensure smooth daily
operations
• Assist in showroom promotions, events, or stock rearrangements when needed
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers to resolve any issues
Key Skills & Attributes
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in retail, warehouse, or store operations
• Good organizational and time-management abilities
• Basic computer literacy (POS systems, inventory software, email, etc.)
• Ability to lift and move stock safely – a moderate level of physical fitness required
• Team player with a positive, professional attitude
Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum 1–2 years' experience in retail, warehouse, or similar environment
• Forklift license (Essential)
• Knowledge of warehouse procedures and retail operations
