    In this role, you will be part of a dynamic group responsible for the assessment and review of over 500 development applications (DA's) per year across an area of approximately 290km2.

    You will encounter a diverse range of projects, from residential and commercial to industrial and rural developments.

    Leaseback Vehicle :

    Available for Private or Commuter use Responsibilities: Reporting to the Manager Development Assessment, key responsibilities include: Undertake the assessment of development applications and provide advice on development proposals and land use matters You will be out and about inspecting developments and land, liaising with the general public, developers, elected representatives and other Council staff and offering advice and assistance as needed.

    Participate in the development of strategic plans and policies as required About you: Recognised tertiary qualifications in town planning Demonstrated experience in a similar role within Development Assessment A valid driver's license.

    Extensive Knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, the Local Government Act, and relevant environmental legislation.
    High level communication and problem-solving skills.
    Eligibility for Corporate membership with the Planning Institute Australia.
