    Description

    **Job Title: Buyer**

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Buyer to join our Operations business in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST).

    This is an opportunity to contribute to our expanding Operations team, as part of our strategic growth plan for 2024 and beyond.

    The successful candidate will be based in Perth CBD and will have a long-term commitment role available on a permanent full-time / part-time (job share)/ contractor engagement basis.

    Our Operations team delivers Brownfield's engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Energy industry.

    We enjoy long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent Energy and LNG producers with operations in Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Southeast Asia.

    Responsibilities:

    • Reporting directly to the Contracts & Procurement Lead, you will deliver specific purchasing activities and implement strategies that drive tangible and sustainable savings.
    • Key aspects of the role include adding value / generating net savings through efficient maintenance of orders, reducing costs from within the supply chain, identifying and delivering 'bottom up' purchasing opportunities.

    You will bring to life our three-pillar strategy of Inspired Culture, Delivery Excellence and Profitable Growth on the project.

    Leading by example, you will consistently display and enforce our values and behaviours, and commitment to the highest standards of safe and ethical behaviour, to ensure safe, reliable operations and client satisfaction.

    Qualifications:

    • You must have full work rights to work in this Australian location.
    • Ideally, you will hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent post-secondary qualifications from a recognised institution and related discipline and have a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in a purchasing role within the Oil & Gas industry.
    • You will also have strong communication skills - oral and written, experience with ERPs in an EPCM environment (including SAP), experience in Supplier Relationship Management, commercial acumen and customer-focused abilities.
