    Job Title:

    SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

    About the Role:

    This is a critical member of the school team, responsible for supporting the speech/language/communication needs of students. The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide high-quality specialized assessment and instruction, implementing Individual Educational Plans (IEP) to students with disabilities in the school setting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct screenings and tests to obtain diagnostic information and make recommendations regarding programs and services.
    • Develop IEPs for each eligible student in collaboration with the teacher, parent, and other pertinent professionals.
    • Provide therapy and use appropriate diagnostic tools and therapy techniques to support the curriculum.
    • Maintain records in accordance with established rules, regulations, and ethical standards.

    Requirements:

    • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
    • A license from the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology or eligibility to complete the Supervised Experience Year with the NC BOE.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience providing school-based speech/language therapy services.
    • Experience with the IEP process.
