    Charlies of Darwin (ABN , Darwin's premier restaurant, bar and gin distillery

    is seeking to recruit a Bar attendant supervisor .

    The successful candidate will join a team whose passion for food, service and fun shines through their menu which showcases Australian and NT produce, their signature cocktails and gin line-up.

    The Bar Attendant Supervisor of Charlies of Darwin is responsible for managing the daily & overall operations of bar in conjunction with the General Manager and Directors of the business.

    In addition, they oversee the inventory and ordering of Food & Beverage and other supplies to effectively run the bar side of the operations from suppliers located in the NT and to optimize profits and ensure that guests are satisfied with their overall experience.

    Bar Attendant Supervisor reports to the General Manager.

    Tasks include:

    • Customer facing role
    • Learn and understand the wine menu and be able to explain to customers
    • Manage the day to day activities of the running of the bar
    • Rostering of staff
    • Supplying, dispensing or mixing of liquor;
    • Undertaking general waiting duties of both food and/or beverage including cleaning of tables;
    • Receipt of monies;
    • Cleaning of food and beverage dishes
    • Assembling and preparing ingredients for cooking;
    • Maintain your RSA certification
    • Understand the various legal requirements that applies to the bar and comply
    • Assist with the regular cleaning maintenance schedule
    • Promote gin & wine related products & functions
    • Arrange and attending gin & wine tasting events
    • Assist in the management of gin & wine list, including accurate sales records and controlling of stock levels
    • Cultivate relationships with distributors

    Qualification and demonstrated skills required

    • At least a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate III with relevant post qualification work experience of to at least one year (20 hours plus per week) or relevant work experience undertaken in Australia of at least one year full-time or relevant work experience (overseas or in Australia) of at least 2 years full-time.
    • Demonstrated skill in managing shifts which include daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
    • Demonstrated skill in supervising portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste and in maintaining regular stock take of beverage.
    • Demonstrated skill in creating a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.

    Annual Salary: $63,000 – 65,000
