    We have a wonderful new opportunity for a Senior Technical Officer - Chemistry in our Environmental & Industrial Group.

    Working at our SAS Labs in Darra, this role is responsible for provision of timely analytical activity and throughput (chemical, physical and microbiological) under the technical guidance of Analytical Chemist/Microbiologists. As a senior technical officer the incumbent shall be capable of data interpretation in accordance with service level agreements and specified client obligations.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Carry out a specified range of complex tests; interpret test data to verify that specifications are met and/or to identify remedial actions required to ensure conformance.
    • Follow the organization's HS&E policies, procedures and mandatory instructions; to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of oneself and others in the workplace.
    • Identify shortcomings in compliance processes, systems and procedures, and develop ad hoc solutions to problems within an assigned unit or discipline.
    • Management System Carry out a range of quality management activities under the guidance of senior colleagues to contribute to the identification and evaluation of current policies and business processes that are in the scope of the Quality Management System.

    About You:

    We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our future, and ideally have the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

    • Diploma in Science, Microbiology, or equivalent experience.
    • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of environmental biosciences analysis.
    • Can guide the biosciences decisions of the business and provide technical advice to the rest of the team.
    • Bioscience testing experience including method verification and interpreting test data to verify that specifications are met and/or to identify remedial actions required to ensure conformance or suitability.
    • Able to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally with an understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
