    Title:- SAAS Head of infrastructure
    Length:- Permanent
    Location:- Sydney

    We are looking for an experienced SaaS infrastructure Manager who is outcomedriven and can lead a team of highly experienced and passionate engineers using AWS cloud services, solving difficult problems and managing security, infrastructure and incidents efficiently.
    The role is also responsible for managing our corporate IT infrastructure and corporate systems.
    As the SaaS Infrastructure Manager you are responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the infrastructure for our SaaS platform hosted
    on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role is a hands-on position requiring
    excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of AWS multitenant
    environments and a passion for process improvement.
    As the Corporate Infrastructure Manager you are responsible for managing the
    corporate infrastructure including desktop assets, bizops systems and cyber
    security controls ( in collaboration with the Chief Information Security Officer)
    The role involves collaborating with development teams, finance and client facing support teams ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of our platform, and optimising infrastructure costs

    SaaS Infrastructure Management:
    o Design and Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan
    and design the AWS infrastructure that supports the team.
    o Implementation: Execute the deployment of infrastructure components,
    ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
    o Monitoring and Optimisation: Continuously monitor the infrastructure,
    identify bottlenecks, and optimise resource utilization.
    o Troubleshooting: Address any issues related to infrastructure performance, reliability, or security.
    o AWS Relationship Management: Primary point of contact for bi-lateral
    relationship management. Develop deep connections within AWS.
    o Cost Optimisation: In collaboration with Finance manage AWS costs within related budgets.

    Corporate Infrastructure Management:
    o Manage and maintain our corporate IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and endpoints.
    o Co-develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the security and efficiency of our corporate systems.
    o Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard critical data and minimize the impact of system failures.
    o Cost Optimisation: In collaboration with Finance manage corporate infrastructure costs within related budgets.

    Team Leadership and Mentoring:
    o Lead a team of infrastructure engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.
    o Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
    o Conduct regular one-on-one meetings

    Security and Compliance:
    o Access Control: Implement IAM policies, security groups, and network ACLs to control access.
    o Encryption: Ensure data encryption in transit and at rest using SSL/TLS and encryption mechanisms.
    o Compliance: Adhere to industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO27001, GDPR).

    Automation and DevOps:
    o Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Leverage tools like CloudFormation, Docker, Lambda to automate infrastructure provisioning.
    o Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Set up pipelines for deploying SaaS updates seamlessly.

    Collaboration and Communication:
    o Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with development, finance and security teams to align infrastructure requirements.
    o Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and AWS for specialised tasks
    o Client Tech Due Diligence assessmenrts – Engage in client infrastructure and security due-diligence assessments provid.

    Experience & Education

    • 10 years' experience managing technology infrastructure teams.
    • Possess in-depth knowledge of various AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
    • Hands-On configure and manage AWS resources skills, including virtual machines, storage, databases, and networking components.
    • Experience with software delivery platforms and application monitoring tools (BuildKite, Octopus Deploy, Sumologic or similar)
    • Experience with infrastructure as code - CloudFormation, serverless.
    • An equally strong ability to learn new technologies and share your learnings with others.
    • Passionate about DevOps and site reliability engineering (SRE) and willingness to grow in these domains.
    • Familiarity with high volume transactional systems, microservice design, or data processing pipelines (lambda, kinesis, spark, or similar)
    • Experience with continuous delivery, automated deployments, and related engineering practices.
    • It is desirable to have backend software engineering experience. with a proven track record to deliver highly resilient and scalable solutions with a relentless drive towards quality.
