About the role:


Essence of the role:


  • Provide demonstrably high quality specialist Rehabilitation services for inpatients, outpatient and community services at Braeside Hospital. To maintain personal professional competence in Rehabilitation;
  • To work within healthcare teams and with other senior medical staff in a cooperative and collegiate way, evidencing the Mission, Motivation and Mission In Action of HammondCare
  • Undertake teaching of medical students and trainee doctors, and undertake research in Rehabilitation as opportunities present

Essential criteria:


  • Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action
  • Registered (or registerable) as a Specialist Medical Practitioner in Rehabilitation Medicine in Australia (AHPRA)
  • FACRM or equivalent Consultant qualification in Rehabilitation Medicine
  • Credentialed experience in multidisciplinary specialist practice in inpatient, day hospital, consultative, clinic and community settings
  • Demonstrated sound, effective communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team
  • Organisational ability, both personal organisation and ability to supervise
  • Willingness to participate in teaching and research projects
  • Current Driver's License
