    As our new Senior Protection Engineer, based in Brisbane, you'll play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that 'bring ideas to life' for our clients. Working within a multi-disciplinary team of professionals based in Brisbane on a wide variety of projects of our Transmission and Distribution team in the QLD Energy group, getting exposure to varied and challenging projects locally in Queensland and across Australia.

    Your role will include:

  • Leading and delivering engineering solutions from concept design through to detail design, including consultation.
  • Assisting the construction phase by providing ongoing design support.
  • Working with the team to put together design tenders.

    As well as experience in a similar protection engineering role. Specifically, you will also need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, in depth knowledge of the Australian standard and industry guidelines.
  • RPEQ is essential
  • A strong understanding of electrical engineering and of protection coordination studies including HV and LV systems (including development of protection system drawings and protection setting reports, and configuration of protection relays on OEM software)
  • Knowledge or experience of IEC61850 is desirable
