    Role Overview

    Reporting into the Group Finance Manager, this Group Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for the management and delivery of month-end including 3-way consolidated reporting and effectively managing the governance and transparency of the corporate financial reporting obligations.

    This includes statutory reporting, treasury management as well as audit and year-end consolidated reporting.

    You will capitalise on your strong technical skills to assist in the implementation of treasury policy and procedure to ensure liquidity and mitigate risk, as well as proactively promote payment solutions and manage banking relationships ensuring the effective management of the cashflow of the company.


    Responsibilities:
    Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
    Prepare entity level and consolidated 3-way financial statements.
    Prepare monthly reconciliations of all payroll, provisions, cash and loan accounts
    Ensure monthly reconciliation of working capital related accounts are performed by commercial finance teams.

    Assist the Group Finance Manager in the preparation of quarterly financial reports included in the consolidated report to the board of directors.

    Ensure compliance with GST, ITR and OSR regulations and oversee the timely filing of returns.
    Complete annual OSR reconciliations and file returns
    Maintain relevant tax schedules and records including (but not limited to) intercompany loans, transfer pricing, fixed asset registers,
    Ensure compliance with all financial reporting obligations, including regulatory filings.
    Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations that may impact financial reporting.
    Oversee the organization's treasury functions, FX coverage and Hedge positions, including cash flow management and forecasting.
    Oversee period-end payment approval processes, ensuring appropriate payment controls have been applied by the accounts payable team.
    Assist in the development of treasury policies and procedures to optimize liquidity and mitigate financial risks.
    Complete all Bank compliance and covenant reporting requirements.

    Maintain transactional banking relationships with financial institutions and proactively promote trade finance and payment solutions for the business to consider.

    Facilitate the year-end audit process, coordinating with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit.
    Prepare audit schedules, financial statements, and supporting documentation.
    Assist in the preparation of accurate and comprehensive annual financial statements.
    Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for financial statement disclosures.
    Oversee and provide guidance on transactional finance activities.
    Assist in the preparation of renewal documentation for the groups insurance portfolio.
    Candidate Profile
    You are highly energetic and with strong technical accounting experience.
    You have completed an Accounting/ Finance degree and are CA or CPA-qualified.

    Ideally coming out of a retail or FMCG organisation you will have exposure to a complex organisation having completed consolidated reporting previously.

    With exceptional communication skills that you leverage in shaping positive working relationships, you are flexible in working through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
