    Description

    Ravenswood School for Girls is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydney's North Shore.

    We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Learning Support Teacher to work within the Learning Enrichment Department, providing educational support to classroom teachers and students from K-6.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Understanding of student learner variability and how to meet the individual needs of students with learning differences and disabilities.
    2. Knowledge of current research and best practices in teaching neurodiverse learners and the Multi-Tiered System of Supports.
    3. Understanding of legal obligations to support students' access to learning programs on the same basis as other students.
    4. Experience in designing, implementing, and delivering learning support programs, including modifications and adjustments to curriculum and assessments.
    5. Collaboration with the Learning Enrichment team and classroom teachers to deliver evidence-informed programs and utilise a co-teaching support model of instruction.
    6. Experience developing Individual Learning Profiles and administering disability provisions for specified assessment tasks.
    7. Experience communicating with parents and case-managing students identified with additional learning needs, in consultation with classroom teachers.

    Essential Qualifications:

    1. Post-graduate qualifications in Inclusive Education or Special Education or a willingness to pursue such qualifications.

    Desirable but Not Essential:

    1. Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.
