    Description

    The Role:

    Reporting to the EM FCC Program, the AML/CTF Control Assurance Advisor will deliver control testing and assurance activities for Bank AML/CTF related controls.

    What you'll do in a snapshot

    • Identify and coordinate control automation opportunities to uplift the AML/CTF control environment.
    • Identify control gaps and provide recommendations to uplift and strengthen the Bank's AML/CTF control environment.
    • Raise/ uplift control maturity with 1LoD Risk & Compliance teams and Control Owners (Business and Strategic Leaders) across the Bank.
    • Uplift value chains where relevant in relation to controls
    • Coordinate with 1LoD Risk & Compliance teams, Control Owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure effective consultation for the design and execution of control tests, ensuring alignment with Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) accountabilities.
    • Identify, prioritise, and coordinate automation opportunities and efficiencies to strengthen the AML/CTF control environment.
    • Effective relationship management and training to support Control Owners in understanding their risk accountabilities and uplift the knowledge of the AML/CTF control environment across the Bank.
    • Identify improvements in control design to improve customer experience, where control automation is not possible.
    • Coach and drive capability uplift across the Bank Control Assurance team, 1LoD Risk & Compliance and Control Owners.
    • Ensure AML/CTF control testing and assurance activities align with internal Policies, Frameworks and Standards, regulatory requirements and FAR reasonable steps requirement.
    • Ensure control testing is performed in accordance with the Bank Control Testing Schedule.

    What you'll bring

    • Relevant degree in , Business, Law or a related business discipline - Desired
    • Certificate in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing – Desired
    • 3+ years' experience in AML/CTF related risk, compliance, audit and/or control assurance - Mandatory
    • 3+ years' experience in banking or financial services – Desired
    • In-depth knowledge and comprehension of AML/CTF obligations
    • Strong communication – convey and explain information, coherently and confidently both oral and written.
    • Excellent stakeholder management – develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders applying fit for purpose engagement models.
    • Effective planning and organising – establish processes in order to proactively scope goals and define delivery plan in order to execute to expected timeframes
